I am Michelle Sucksmith. I have worked in residential interior design since 1990, and I have run my studio from Cullompton in Mid Devon since 2004.

I work with homeowners on everything from a single room to a whole house. That might be curtains and blinds for a period farmhouse, a furnishing scheme for a new build, or a full design project covering furniture, lighting, colour, wallcoverings and window treatments.

You deal with me directly. I survey the rooms, put the scheme together, source everything through my trade suppliers and see it through to installation.

Interior design consultation
A ninety minute visit to your home to talk through your project, your priorities and your budget, and to give you practical advice you can act on.

Curtains, blinds and soft furnishings
Bespoke window treatments designed, measured, made and fitted. Curtains, roman blinds, shutters, pelmets, poles and tracks.

Full interior design
Whole rooms or whole houses. Furniture, lighting, colour schemes, wallcoverings, rugs, joinery ideas and space planning, sourced and coordinated through to installation.

Where I work

My studio is in Cullompton and most of my work is within about an hour's drive. That covers Mid Devon and the villages around Cullompton, including Clyst Hydon, Plymtree, Kentisbeare, Uffculme, Willand, Bradninch and Silverton, along with Tiverton, Exeter, Topsham, Exmouth, Honiton and East Devon.

For larger projects I also work further into Devon, Somerset and Dorset.
